I have always been an animal lover and had pets of all kinds.  My latest journey with dogs started in January 2005 I rescued “My Wee Mate” Charlie, a maltese cross from DoggieRescue.com.  Since that time I have become more and more involved in all things Canine. 

My dog Charlie arrived with a number of behavioural issues including lunging and barking at any passers by on the lead, nipping during grooming, barking incessantly at any males within 10 metres and being able to escape from pretty much anywhere to try to find me, .

My determination to help him resolve these issues led me to investigate many techniques and dog training methods.  One of these  was Jan Fennell’s revolutionary method.  I came across this after stumbling across one of her books and then buying a DVD of her BBC series from the ABC shop.

I then commenced accreditation in her method and have now graduated from her Advanced Canine communication course.

The things I really like about this method:

· It is completely positive and there is no cruelty or force

· No cruel gadgets such as choke chains or electric shock collars are used

· It works!

I now also work with rescue dogs.  Since I started fostering I have successfully rehabilitated numerous dogs using Jan’s methods.

I also offer Reiki treatments, which can greatly assist the healing process for all animals.
