Tips for choosing a trainer

There are almost as many training methods as there are dogs.  Unfortunately there are a lot of people who work with dogs who don’t keep up to date.  There are also a lot of people who still believe that dogs are best trained using fear and intimidation.  This type of trainer is likely to want to take your dog away from you so you can’t see what they really do.

There is simply no need for this and I have proven this now time and time again.

DO NOT send your dog away to be trained.

DO NOT allow a trainer to work with your dog if you are not present

ASK the trainer direct questions such as:

· What technique will you use with my dog?

· Do you use choke chains, shock collars or any form of pain/fear?
